Thousands of Mississippians could be getting their licenses back.

Thousands of Mississippians who had their driving privileges suspended because they didn't pay fines and fees will soon get their licenses back.  The Department of Public Safety has agreed to reinstate the licenses after attorneys threatened to sue saying those drivers should have had an opportunity to show that they couldn't afford to pay.   DPS says it'll be notifying those who qualify beginning next month.

People who have questions about the status of their Mississippi driver’s license can call 601-987-1224 for more information.
