Almost two-dozen people are dead after tornadoes ripped through Alabama and Georgia on Sunday. At least 23 people were killed in Lee County, Alabama. In the small town of Talbotton, Georgia more than a dozen buildings were destroyed, including homes and at least one apartment building.

President Trump's approval rating is going up. An NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll has Trump's approval rating at 46-percent, up from 43-percent at the beginning of the year. Eight-eight-percent of Republicans like what the President is doing in addition to 60-percent of rural Americans and 60-percent of white Americans without a college degree. The poll also found that just over 60-percent of women, 64-percent of Latinos and 88-percent of black Americans disapprove of the job President Trump is doing.

A new study says it could be possible to get infrared night vision by a simple injection in the eyes. Researchers at the University of Science and Technology of China say they were able to give mice "night vision" by injecting "nanoparticles" into their eyes. They said the night vision lasts up to ten weeks with little or no side effects. The lead author of the study says it could serve as the basis for human "super vision."
