Maximum security prisoners get an average of 2 hours of outdoor time every day. The average child doesn't even spend half that kind of time outside, according to a study from TreeHugger.com
They surveyed over 12-thousand parents in 10 countries, and found 1/3rd of children between the ages of 5 and 12 spend less than 30 minutes outside every day. One in 9 kids hadn't been to a park, forest, beach or any other natural environment for at least a year.
