A Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy is on administrative leave with pay, after being indicted on four counts of obtaining possession of a prescription by misrepresentation, and tampering with evidence. Jeffrey Broom is also accused of 2 counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
He'd been employed by the Sheriff's Department since December of 2016. They're conducting an internal investigation.
