A majority of the BP settlement money will stay on our coast

Governor Phil Bryant was in Gulfport yesterday to sign a bill that allocates where the BP Settlement money will go.  Close to 70% of the $750-million will remain on our coast.

The Gulf Coast Restoration Fund will receive $40-million a year for the next 15 years.  That money will be administered by the MS Development Authority, who will act on advice from an advisory board that will vet those projects.
