Coastal MS is under a tornado watch until 3 this afternoon. The system is already proving to be a killer:
Emergency crews are scrambling after a deadly tornado ripped through Northern Louisiana. Two people were killed when the twister struck the small city of Ruston, located about 70 miles east of Shreveport and home to Louisiana Tech. The university reportedly suffered damage to campus housing and apartments and classes have been canceled today. Reports say power is out all across the city and several roadways in the area are blocked near Interstate 20. Governor John Bel Edwards says the threat from the storms isn't over as more severe weather is set to move into the Gulf Coast region today. He will visit Ruston today to assess the damage. The deadly storm system is marching from Louisiana to Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
