Jason Garrett is the Reason Cowboys Can't Win Super Bowl, Not Dak Prescott

Colin Cowherd: “Not all losses are bad losses and last night’s loss was a great loss for the Cowboys. There is this sense with the Dallas Cowboys that they’re a pretty good team who can win a division and maybe win a home playoff game, but there is always this 'ceiling' and belief that they can’t win multiple playoffs games and reach the Super Bowl. Last night it was established that the 'ceiling' is Jason Garrett. Pay Dak, he is NOT the problem. He was excellent last night. As a Cowboys fan you were furious when they took the ball out of Dak’s hands last night in favor of Ezekiel Elliott and you never would have been last year or two years ago. Last night it was established that Dak is a franchise quarterback and isn’t the problem.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thought the Dallas Cowboys’ narrow defeat to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football was a career-defining moment for Dak Prescott.

Despite the loss dropping Dallas to 5-4 and probably out of the Wild Card chase if they don’t win the NFC East, Prescott posted an 87.5 QBR game that included 397 passing yards, three touchdowns, and only one interception.

Colin says for the first time he really saw how legitimate Prescott is as a franchise quarterback who deserves a lucrative contract from Dallas this offseason, and how this perceived ‘ceiling’ with the Cowboys on their inability to advance deep into the NFC Playoffs isn’t a Dak thing, but rather a Jason Garrett thing.

Check out the video above as Colin details why Dallas fans for the first time were angry at the team’s play-calling in the red zone last night in the dying minutes, when they elected to hand the ball off to Ezekiel Elliott instead of sticking with the hot hand of Dak.
