Coast leaders resolution to deal with future Bonnet Carre Spillway openings

Several city councils along the Mississippi Gulf Coast held votes Tuesday, passing resolutions to enter into Memorandums of Understandings that would avoid future economic disasters like the one caused by the opening of the Bonnet Carre Spillway this summer. The language of the memorandum says, in effect, that local governments in South Mississippi should be consulted before future decisions are made to open the fresh water spillway.
