What's going on along our coast this weekend?

The Spring Arts Festival is in downtown Ocean Springs this weekend with artists demonstrations and more.  That’s 9-5pm Saturday, and 9-4pm Sunday

BBQ Under the Oaks at Centennial Plaza on East Beach Blvd in Gulfport is a fundraiser for the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra.  In addition to tasty BBQ rib competition, there will be a children’s area with a bounce house and train rides.  Saturday from 11:30-2pm

The Re-Enactment of the 1699 Landing of Pierre LeMoyne, Sieur d’Iberville and other explorers will be  on the shoreline just off Bay Shore Drive in D’Iberville from 1-3pm Saturday. 

The Warrior Classic at D’Iberville High is a competition in percussion, winds and color guard by 25 groups from schools across MS and Louisiana,  It runs from 12:30-7pm Saturday.

You can Hop the Trail to Bunnyland on the Biloxi Town Green from 9-noon Saturday.  Join the Easter Bunny for pictures, crafts and more. 

The BSL Little Theatre is having a Stella Yelling contest, part of a Tennessee Williams Tribute, and there will be cash prizes.  4-5pm Saturday

A musical based on the movie “School of Rock” is on tap over the weekend at the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center in Gulfport.  7pm Friday, 3pm Saturday

And we do have one event that’s being rescheduled because of thunderstorms expected in our area tomorrow.  The Stennis Space Center Special Olympic Games will be held April 8th, instead.
