The Biloxi PD is having a Fish Fry for the Special Olympics Friday morning from 11-1pm in the pumper hall at the Lopez-Quave Public Safety Center on Porter Ave. Fish or hamburger plates with potato salad and baked beans are only $8. The Gulf Coast Big Rig Truck Show is at the Coliseum this weekend, and they’ve got some new events this year: A convoy on Beach Blvd Friday night with show trucks and trucks honoring the military.
Saturday is Family Fun Day, with an Easter Egg Hunty at the Moss Point Library. The free hunt is open to kids up to 12 years old, then they’ll have games and a movie matinee at 1:30pm. Starts at 10am.
The Gulf Coast Walk for Christ will start on Caillavet Street in Biloxi around 10 Saturday morning, and go down to the MGM Park and back. Walkers are being asked to wear white shirts and bring water, and well as canned food items for Loaves and Fishes, The Lord is My Help, and The Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence. Event runs from 10-1pm.
Celebrate the Gulf, at War Memorial Park in Pass Christian is free, and that’s from 10-3pm Saturday. I guess it’s a 2 for one event, because that’s also where they’re having Art in the Pass.
It’s Rock the Cause at Beach Park in Pascagoula Saturday from 7-10am. This is a benefit for Adrienne’s House, which is the satellite domestic violence shelter program of the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence. Runners, walkers, baby strollers and even tutu-wearers are encouraged to sign up.
There’s a CASA Superhero 5K Run/Walk on Main Street and Beach Blvd in BSL Saturday starting at 7am. Dress as your favorite superhero. Food, drinks, and a tiny Titan childrens area after the race.
