Unless ordered by a doctor, I'm not the type to fast...but...it could be a great way to drop some pounds.

Researchers have found that alternate-day fasting is just as effective for weight loss as watching your calories.  That's when someone switches between eating hardly any to no food one day, and feasting the next.  Experts say there's no difference in terms of weight loss, though the drop-out rate in the alternate-day fasting group was significantly higher.  

No surprise there.  lol  

The study was published Monday in the journal "JAMA Internal Medicine".
