Here's what's going on along our coast this weekend...

Friday, May 26:

The St. Clare Seafood Festival, at the church on Beach Blvd in Waveland, will include live bands, food, carnival rides, arts and crafts booths, a 5K run, and an antique car show.  6p-11p Friday, 11a-11p Saturday, and noon-6p Sunday.

Saturday, May 27th:

There will be a Memorial Day Observance at the Diamondhead Country Club Saturday morning, with a concert before the service.  (10:50am)

The Wind and Wave Festival is at the Long Beach Harbor Saturday.  Kites, food, and music between noon and 8pm.

The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center, on Gov’t Street in Ocean Springs, is having a free Memorial Concert Saturday starting at 4pm, and it will include recognition of military/veteran guests.

There’s a free concert to salute our military men/women at Jones Park Saturday, and you’ll want to get a seat starting around 6pm.  The Sounds by the Sea Concert will include a patriotic performance from the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, and end with a fireworks display.  WWII veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor Frank Emond is this year’s special guest conductor.

Sunday, May 28th:

Jazz in the Pass is at War Memorial Park on Scenic Drive in Pass Christian Sunday, featuring several bands between noon and 8pm. 

There’s a free concert to salute our military men/women at Beach Park in Pascagoula, and it’s free!  The Sounds by the Sea Concert will include a patriotic performance from the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra, and end with a fireworks display.  WWII veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor Frank Emond is this year’s special guest conductor.  Lawn seating begins at 6pm, pre show is 7pm, and the concert starts at 7:30pm. 

Monday, May 29:

A Memorial Day Program to honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation will be held Monday morning at 9a at the Biloxi National Cemetery’s Main Flag Pole.  Parking will be available at the VA Medical Center parking garage, north of the cemetery’s main entrance.  No parking will be allowed off Veteran’s Avenue on the the VA Campus, or in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
