Huffman & Loughlin Appear in Court in College Admissions Scam Case

US-ENTERTAINMENT-FILM-TELEVISION-UNIVERSITY-CORRUPTION

The Boston court appearances for actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin in the massive college admissions scam are over. This was their initial appearance where the judge read their charges and detailed conditions of their release. Their pleas will come at a later date. Huffman, Loughlin and Loughlin's husband had to confirm that they had surrendered their passports and understand their rights. Loughlin and her husband are charged with paying a-half-a-million-dollars in bribes to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as crew athletes even though neither ever took part in the sport. Huffman is charged with helping her daughter cheat on a college entrance exam by paying 15-grand to a test monitor to correct wrong answers.

All of the parents charged are accused of passing the money through the alleged ringleader of the scam, William "Rick" Singer. He as already plead guilty.
