Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is confirming hackers has stolen seven-thousand Bitcoin with a value of more than 40 million dollars.Ā The company claims that no users will be effected by the hack of the digital currency, saying the lost funds will be covered by the Secure Asset Fund for Users program it set up last year.Ā The company is planning to go public soon.Ā Its CEO said in a statement that the hackers were patient and used several techniques to steal API keys and two-factor codes and other information in the attack.Ā Once they triggered it, Binance shut down withdrawals to all accounts.Ā An investigation is underway.
